Why Is The Front Of My Hair Shorter Than The Back
It is a common problem for the top layer of fine hair to be damagedit takes all of the abuse.
Why is the front of my hair shorter than the back. If your hair is all the same length then considering that it is starting from a higher point on the side Point A in attached pic than it is at the back Point B then it would naturally fall shorter on the sides than the back. My main hair issue is the hair at the frontsides of my head. Keeping it one length is what I would suggest and to super-condition the top layer to help keep it smooth.
The worst part is that Im trying to grow out the front bit since it was layered and I would like to have my hair all one length or at. Hi All -- Im in a bit of a quandry. If you had layers cut into your hair before it was likely cut to be longest in the back and slightly shorter in the front to be face-framing.
The alternative would be to get a blunt cut making the back much shorter so that all strands fall to the same level. As the rest of my hair became wavier and wavier that area got curlier and curlier. I decided to give up on growth and focus on hair health for the time being.

Often the hair underneath is the healthiest. Some people like to have styling options. The texture on the sides behind the ears surrounding the tighter curls is an in between curl pattern.
Try an asymmetrical bob if hair is straightest in the back so that the back is shorter and gradually progresses to a longer length in front. The front is also finer less dense and thinner than the back so a lot of protective styles dont work for me. The front of the head where you can see gets the most damage from hot tools.
